Sherri and I are in the covenant relationship of marriage to each other since 1972. We are blessed to have a solid Swiss/American family heritage. Religion has not occupied center stage for most of our pilgrimage, and Church was not always a part of our life. Then, in 1992, the Lord arranged for our religious practices to be confronted, and we were torn from the almost nonexistent and colorless conformity of past traditions to the living dynamics of a personal relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ.
Sherri was the first to respond, happily throwing off the past and looking forward to a grand and challenging adventure. Then, I am, struggling to let go of the comfort and competitiveness of my Swiss roots followed. After years of searching in all the wrong places I finally discovered that inner peace, love and happiness did not come from “material” things but through a vibrant and personal relationship with our living God.
As a native of Switzerland, I came to the United States in 1966 and worked for 20 years with international divisions of Fortune 500 corporations, spending time in Europe and Central America before returning to the United States to start my own commodity export business in 1986. We committed our lives to Christian work in 1993.
Sherri grew up in Oak Park, Michigan. After graduating High School she joined Eastern Airlines in reservations before becoming an optician. We are the proud parents of two sons, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
