The Catholic Church

Among all the false religions, there are few that have changed over the years as much as this one. The Word of God never changes. For true born-again Christians, their beliefs and doctrine are the same today as in the times of Jesus, but not for the Roman Catholics. Hebrews 13:8-9 says “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by eating ceremonial foods, which is of no benefit to those who do so.”

A person can talk with hundreds of Catholics including priests and find that most have never read their Bible cover to cover and seldom take their Bible to church. A person is saved by faith (trust) in Jesus Christ. Faith can only come from God ’s Word. “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” Romans 10:17 “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6

All that practice “sin” shall perish. How is it that multitudes of priests “molest” children and yet continue in the church? Why are the priests that commit such “abominable acts” not thrown out? They are absolutely not saved and cannot be walking with God. Matthew 15:14 warns “Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”

The Roman Catholic Church is just one of many false religions that claim to be the true church. All anyone has to do is research the history of the church in the Dark Ages. They will be astonished at what they will find. The history of the church includes the murder of multitudes and unspeakable sin. Its doctrine and policies have changed so much over the years, but the Word of God never changes. I you want the truth, get into your Bible and read the Gospel of John.

Then begin with Matthew and read through the entire New Testament including the book of Revelation. Always seek God in prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ for understanding before reading. Put away preconceived thoughts and just read what the Bible says. You can see for yourself the practices of the Catholic Church and what you are reading in the Bible do not go together. Once you have done this and God has opened your understanding, you have but one choice.

Revelations 18:4-5 warns “Then I heard another voice from heaven say: Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues; for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes.”

2 Corinthians 6:14-18  says “Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore, Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you. And, I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

The Doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church, however, does change and will continue to change, bringing in more and more damnable “heresies.”

Pope Paul IV proclaimed an end to the traditional obligation that Catholics abstain from eating meats on Fridays. He abolished the index of forbidden books. He demoted a whole host of saints who had been canonized, revered, and prayed to by the church previously.

A 138-page papal document officially referred to as an “apostolic exhortation” was issued. Pope John Paul II dismissed the “widespread idea that one can obtain forgiveness directly from God.” 1 John 1:9 clearly states “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

Nearly every item on the above “heresies” can be shown to be contrary to God ’s Word. If you want the truth read the Bible. Always seek God in prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ for understanding before reading.

The Roman Catholic Church for centuries banned the Bible from the laity, burned it, and persecuted those who loved it. Roman Catholics today are permitted to look upon Protestants as “separated brethren.” Rome’s understanding of such things as “grace, confession, regeneration, baptism,” etc. is much different than that of a born-again, Bible believing Christian. They use the same terms, but their meaning is not the same. The seven means of saving grace contained in the Sacraments ”Infant Baptism, First Communion, Mass, Confession, Marriage, Extreme Unction, and Ordination” have no true biblical authority.

Jesus commands that the Revelation be taught in the church. It says in Revelation 22:16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”

There is a special blessing for those that read and hear the Revelation. “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near” Revelation 1:3. When was the last time any Catholic heard their priest teaching the entire Revelation? Some may make excuses and say it is only symbolism. To the blind or the unsaved, it may be only symbolism; however, to the born-again Christian it is an open book, one that can be understood. This is further confirmed as we read in Daniel 12:10  “Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

1 Corinthians 2:14 warns us “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.” Some may ask, how can this vast religion be so biblically wrong and considered a cult? John 12:48 warns us that “There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day.

The Roman Catholic Church has strayed so far from the Bible that it is referred to as the “Great Whore” in Revelation. To love you is to tell you the truth. To keep silent and let people perish is not love. The fact is that many Catholics have left the Roman Catholic Church and surrendered their lives to the Jesus of the Bible by trusting in Him and Him alone for their salvation. I believe many reading this post know someone that has done so and became born-again.  John 3:3  clearly states “Jesus replied, Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again,” a concept the Catholic Church does not understand.

While Jesus’ words in Mark 7:9 were directed towards the Pharisees, they accurately describe the Roman Catholic Church, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!” To those that have a heart to receive and understand the Word of God, it is clear that the Roman Catholic Church is the “Great Whore” referred to in Revelation 17.

Is Catholicism a false religion?
